Restricting the editing of a page
By default, everyone with access to the site can edit its pages according to their role. From the editor you can restrict a page so that only certain users or certain roles can edit it. Everyone else will be able to view it, but will work on it as if they had the Viewer role.
Restrict who can edit a page
Section titled “Restrict who can edit a page”-
Actions: Open the page in the editor and expand the actions menu, next to the Save button.

Page user access: Click
Page user accessto open the restriction options. -
Page restrictions: Choose how you want to manage access and click Manage users access:
- By users: only the people you select will be able to edit the page.
- By roles: only those who have the roles you choose will be able to edit it.

Selection: Check what you need, use the search box to find it quickly.
- By users: when you select the first person, the All users option is automatically unchecked.
- By roles: the Viewer role does not appear, since it has no editing permission.

Apply: Click Apply to confirm. The page is saved and a notice appears indicating that only some users can edit it.
Change or restore a page’s access
Section titled “Change or restore a page’s access”- Info: On a restricted page, click the
Only some users can edit this pagenotice to see who has access. You can also access it from the page actions. - Modal: Click the change access button to modify the selection of users or roles.
- Adjust: Change what you need. To give access back to everyone, check All users or click Reset; the people who were selected return to Available users.
- Apply: Click Apply to confirm. The page is saved with the new access.
